Amber Bloom Crystalline Plate

A broad hand-thrown plate in luminous amber, edged with dense ivory crystal blooms and anchored by a deep brown centre. Its open form gives the glaze room to read almost like a landscape.

Made by Arnis Preiss in Zelmeņi, Latvia, and high-fired to 1280°C. The crystalline glaze develops during a long, carefully controlled cooling cycle, so its markings cannot be repeated.
