Cobalt Halo Crystalline Bowl

A hand-thrown bowl where a saturated cobalt ring circles a pale centre, with blue crystalline blooms collecting through the glaze. The colour shifts from clear mineral blue to near-black at its deepest points.

Made by Arnis Preiss in Zelmeņi, Latvia, and high-fired to 1280°C. The crystalline glaze develops during a long, carefully controlled cooling cycle, so its markings cannot be repeated.
